About Us
DotComGuy...He's back...,
well, his spirit of goodwill and worldwide community is definitely back with a powerful and Game-Changing new "Business Consumer to IT Professional" platform connecting business to technology via DotComGuy's three core IT Management Support services, products and community. Oh...did I mention that these services and products are either Free or highly discounted? More about this later.
It all started back in 1999 to 2000,
when a regular guy by the name of Mitch Maddox decided to change his name to "DotComGuy"... to prove a point. DotComGuy became a worldwide "internet sensation" with tens of millions of fans and rose public awareness by proving that anyone could "live" their life in full public display on the internet by never leaving his Dallas "dotcompound" for one full year.
Blogger was also invented in the same year,
1999, and DotComGuy's Daily Journal was the first blog to have a mass following.
DotComGuy quickly attracted major sponsors
like UPS, 3-COM and Travelocity, "early adapters", who recognized early on the importance of connecting with the quickly growing online audience through DotComGuy's worldwide community and fan base.
DotComGuy dispensed useful advice
and answered his fan's questions on everything from "how to" find the best online deals, who builds the best websites, the importance of remote data back-up, how to optimize your PC and how to use the internet for charity fund raising. DotComGuy's 24/7 camera filled "high-tech" "dotcompound", was the precursor to "reality TV" and social media. Ahead of his time, DotComGuy gave the world a glimpse of the power of the internet in people connecting with people for social and business objectives. People wanted to connect with precious information resources that improved their lives and DotComGuy proved that there was no better way than the internet. From starting a new business or building an existing one, DotComGuy gave people guidance and direction on "How To" find REAL value and BETTER solutions in the online community.
Fast forward to 2011...
the original DotComGuy has long gone back to his original name and life, but his spirit of public service, commitment to excellence and helping others to succeed is alive and well, in fact, the new DotComGuy's primary Mission is to become the most widely-used IT Management Support resource in the world for Business Consumers and IT Professionals alike. Business depends on technology. In fact, business and technology are two sides of the same coin.
